  • Job Summary
The Lead Finish Carpenter will oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines. This role requires strong leadership, technical skills, and the ability to coordinate with other trades and team members.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of finish carpenters and laborers.
  • Plan, organize, and direct carpentry work on various projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Inspect work progress and quality, making necessary adjustments.
  • Manage materials and supplies.
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate with clients, and project managers to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Train and mentor junior carpenters and laborers.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a finish carpenter, with a minimum of 7+ years in finish carpentry.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Valid US Driver’s License and reliable transportation for travel to various job sites.

  • Proficiency in the use of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools. (BuilderTrend experience preferred)
  • Master finish carpentry level skillset with quality work being of the utmost importance
  • Work Environment
  • Work is performed both mostly indoors and some outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • May require working at heights, in confined spaces, and on construction sites.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
